Title Announcement!

We are very excited to announce that we will be publishing a fine press edition of THE ELEMENTALS by Michael McDowell!! This is scheduled for Q1 2028.

I first became aware of Michael McDowell as an avid Tim Burton fan, watching Beetlejuice as a young goth kid. I wanted to know who wrote Lydia Deetz’ lines like ‘I myself am strange and usual’ and ‘my whole life has been one dark room’ because in 1988 I was 10 years old and identified completely with this southern goth girl and her crazy family, McDowell’s words are part of my creative DNA.

Many years later I discovered that the guy who wrote the epic Blackwater and The Elementals was the same guy who wrote Beetlejuice and A Nightmare before Christmas. So we have come full circle and it’s going to be an absolute trip to journey to Alabama’s gulf coast, and those three houses on dunes…..
