BORDERLANDS

Welcome to the page for our new quarterly zine Borderlands. From the very start Nepenthe Press set out with the intention of publishing beautiful books which showcased not only work from established and revered authors working within the horror field but also nurtured work from new writers, and authors we felt deserved a wider readership. We have achieved precisely this with our limited edition anthologies of which we are very proud, but unfortunately not everyone can afford these 'bells and whistles' volumes, which is where Borderlands comes in.

Our new, quarterly zine will be a beautifully designed and produced softcover publication with the hallmarks of quality you would expect of one of our productions but affordable to all. It will showcase work by some of the leading authors working today, it will shine a light on authors we believe deserve a wider readership, we will nurture and publish work by new and emerging writers we admire and re-publish obscure and lesser known tales by authors who were woefully overlooked in their lifetime.

Borderlands will be edited by Victoria Sharpe and Elijah John, with guest editors onboard for specific themed issues. Issue number one will available OCTOBER 2026, specific date TBA.
