About the Book
Edgar Allan Poe's enduring legacy is unquestionable. He died 175 years ago this year and yet his creative influence remains profound and continues to resonate deeply. It's 2024 and we all continue to be pulled into the maelstrom of Poe's nightmarish, hallucinatory visions with Netflix commissioning a series based on his masterpiece (one of a number of masterpieces) 'The Fall of the House of Usher.'
This book represents to us nothing less than a fusion of lifelong, creative passions and obsessions. A collection of Poe’s exceptional body of work has been meticulously curated from source texts by the renowned editor of more than fifty anthologies of horror, fantasy, and science fiction, Stefan Dziemianowicz. It Includes an essay on Poe's visual legacy and his huge influence on artists throughout the ages.

With an introduction by Bram Stoker award winning author John Langan (Author of 'The Fisherman' and 'The Wide Carnivorous Sky.)
Profusely illustrated and designed by Elijah John, with twelve full page illustrations and line drawings influenced by the graphic work of the expressionist and symbolist movements.

We hope this book harks back to the golden age of book illustration, we wanted to produce a book that holds a rightful place amongst the classic illustrated Poe titles by artists as diverse as Harry Clarke, Gustave Dore, Manet, and Arthur Rackham.
