We aim to produce 4-5 titles a year.
At Nepenthe we are huge fans of the anthology and intend to produce two a year, focusing on publishing new stories from leading authors in the horror genre, and championing new work. We are currently outlining the next anthology to follow up on the sellout edition of Unquiet Slumbers.
We also will be puplishing two letterpress titles a year, these will be a , uniform series to collect (numbered and lettered editions) focusing on classic Ghost stories, and weird tales, (short stories and novellas). Two titles to follow Poe's 'The Fall of the House of Usher' will be Guy De Maupassant's 'The Horla' and Charles Dickens 'The Signalman.' They will each feature newly commissioned woodcuts and linocuts.
We have two big projects outlined for 2025 but can't say much about these right now, save that one is the 100th Anniversary of a classic collection of Ghost Stories!
Are there any titles you would love to see get the letterpress treatment? Any neglected works out there you think deserve a limited edition? We would love to hear from you!
Hi. Regarding anthologies, does "We are currently outlining the next anthology..." mean that you are determining what the next anthology will be and will have a call to authors, or does it mean that you already have the next planned and have the stories in hand? Thanks!
